Where is collection of the motorhome?

We are based in Edenbridge, Kent, approximately 15 minutes from either junction 5 or 6 of the M25.

Are the motorhomes difficult to drive?

The motorhomes themselves are very easy to drive and the powerful diesel engines make driving up even the steepest of hills easy. There is however the need to be aware that you are driving a much wider and taller vehicle than you may be used to, Therefore you may need to keep an eye out for hazards that you wouldn’t normally notice driving a car. The motorhome will also have a much larger turning circle than you are used to but in general most people tend to adjust quite quickly.

What does the rental price include?

Your quoted price includes Vat, parking for one car during your hire,  fully comprehensive insurance, unlimited mileage, roadside assistance, Bike rack and Gazebo if required , a full familiarisation tour of the vehicle, built in satellite navigation multimedia system on most models, outside table and chairs and 2x gas bottles (we operate a replace what you use policy with these so whatever’s left from the previous hirer plus an emergency bottle)

Are there any extra charges I need to worry about?

The only extras available are:
Bedding packs if required (we normally ask you to bring your own) these are charged at £50 per bed set and consist of sheet, quilt and cover/s, pillow/s and towels.

Charges for European travel £250
This provides you with unlimited mileage, European travel insurance and breakdown cover, VE103 form (vehicle on hire), at least one full bottle of Gas, high vis jackets for each passenger, Warning triangles, GB badge, headlight adapters, spare fuse/bulb kit, European plug adapter, first aid kit, snow chains (when required).

Trips to Ireland (south) £175
Includes all as above excluding full bottle of Gas and snow chains.

How old do I need to be?

We can insure drivers from the age of 23-75 with 2 full years of driving experience.

Do I need a special license to drive the motorhome?

No, all of our motorhomes can be driven on a standard car licence.

What happens if I need to cancel a booking?

Any cancellations that occur 6+ weeks before the collection date will incur the loss of the non-refundable booking deposit.

6 weeks - 2 weeks: 50% of total hire charge
2 weeks - No Show: 100% of total hire charge

This is to compensate us for our time during the booking process and for the loss of the booking, which we may not be able to find a replacement for at short notice. We strongly advise all customers to take out holiday insurance.

Can I take the motorhome to Europe?

Yes! Although we do require an extra £250.00 per booking for European travel, this provides you with insurance and breakdown cover, a vehicle on hire form, at least one full bottle of gas, high vis jackets, warning triangles, GB badge, headlight adapters, fuse/bulb kit, European plug adapter, emission zone stickers/registrationand snow chains when required. For travel to southern Ireland the charge is £175.00

How do I book a motorhome?

The best way to book a motorhome is to use our online book/quote form to let us know which dates you are interested in and what requirements you have. Once we have confirmed that your dates are available then we will require a £200 deposit per week being requested which will then secure your booking.

What time do I pick up/drop off the motorhome?

Our pick up times are 14.00 – 16.00 and our drop off times are 10.00 – 12.00 allocated once booked, We can sometimes offer earlier pick up times and late drop off times at an additional cost, if this is a necessity then please let us know when booking.

What identification do I need to provide?

We deal with all of this in advance so there are no last minute complications, our insurers require a copy of your driving licence (front and rear) with driving licence check code, passport (if traveling abroad) and 2 utility bills or bank/credit card statements that are no more than 90 days old. The driving license code can be obtained from: https://www.gov.uk/view-driving-licence. Please note: All drivers must be present and produce their driving licences at the time of collection.

Do I need to pay a security deposit when hiring the vehicle?

Yes, we hold a damage deposit of £1000 to cover any damage that may occur to the motorhome or its contents whilst on hire. This also acts as an excess should you be involved in an accident. The deposit is payable via credit/ debit card or bank transfer and will be requested 7 days before your departure date, this is fully refundable if no damage occurs.

Will you show us how everything works?

Yes, a full familiarisation tour is given with every hire, at this time you will be able to ask any questions you may have.

Can we bring our pets with us?

You certainly can, most of our models are pet friendly, we only ask that you give the vehicle an extra thorough cleaning before it is returned.

How long should I allow when collecting the motorhome?

When you come to collect the motorhome someone will be there to show you around and give you a full familiarisation tour. This can take anything between half an hour and an hour, so please allow for this time in regards to your travel arrangements.

How long will returning the motorhome take?

Normally around 20 minutes so that you are present while we complete a preliminary inspection of the vehicle and its contents.

How many miles to the gallon can I expect?

This is really subject to how you drive and if your journey will be mostly motorways, as a guide expect around 25/28 miles per gallon on average.

Is there a minimum hire period?

A minimum charging period of 3 nights apply, 7 nights June – September, this is generally extended for trips overseas.

What happens if the motorhome breaks down?

In the unlikely event you experience a breakdown, all motorhomes have a 24 hour, 7 day breakdown/recovery throughout the UK and Europe.

Can I take the motorhome on a ferry or the Eurotunnel?

Yes, your motorhome can be taken on a ferry or the Eurotunnel, you will need a registration number and length of vehicle at the time of booking.

Do you offer a delivery service?

There is a possibility of this in quieter times and subject to a charge, please let us know on the booking form if this is a requirement.

Can I leave my car at your depot?

Yes, you can leave your vehicle with us, it will be in a secure gated compound with CCTV. We do not charge for this but it will be left at your own risk.

Is there air conditioning?

There is air conditioning in the cab which when driving will filter through to the habitation area.

Do you have any automatic motorhomes available?

Yes check on the “our motorhomes” page for which vehicles feature this.

Are there electric sockets in the motorhome?

Yes, there are 240v electric sockets in the motorhomes, however you will need to be connected to an electric hook-up point for them to be operational.

How does the fridge work?

There is a 3 way fridge, this means that it will operate via the engine battery whilst driving, the electric hook-up when on-site or if there is no electricity available, via the LPG gas bottle.

Is there heating and hot water?

Yes, Do not fear! All the motorhomes have fantastic heating and hot water that works with gas/electricity.

Is bedding included?

We provide a mattress protector,  you will need to bring your own duvet, pillows, sheets or sleeping bag and towels. We can provide the above for a fee.  Please ask for details on the booking enquiry form.

Do we need to clean the motorhome before returning it?

Yes, to avoid any extra charges we expect it to be returned in the same state as it was received, with the waste tank and toilet tank emptied, external cleaning is not required.  

Do you supply the gas for heating and cooking?

We operate a replace as you use policy so the vehicle will come with what’s left from the previous hire and an emergency bottle.

Do we need to refill the fuel tank?

Yes, we operate a full out, full in policy.

What will be on board the vehicle?
